SAN ANTONIO – What started as a traffic stop in Castle Hills has ended with the arrests of two men after police say they tried to run from them. They say an officer initially tried to conduct a traffic stop before 1 a.m. Tuesday on a car that ran a stop sign near Blanco Road and Antler Drive. The driver initially pulled over in a parking lot, but then sped off as an officer approached his car, police say. The officer chased the car for about two miles until it stopped in the 400 block of Maplewood Lane. Officers searched for the third man, the driver of the car, but did not find him.

CASTLE HILLS, Texas – A 24-year-old man is in police custody after leading Castle Hills officers on a short chase early Wednesday morning, the Castle Hills Police Department said. The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. near Jackson Keller Road and Lavays Drive, not far from West Avenue and Loop 410. According to police, officers attempted to pull the man over but he instead sped off. CHPD said the man turned on to Lavays Drive and into the Hamilton Place Apartments before crashing through a chained gate. The man tried to run from the vehicle, but was caught and stunned by officers and taken into custody, police said.

SAN ANTONIO – A driver is in police custody following a vehicle chase and crash near Castle Hills early Monday morning, the Castle Hills Police Department said. The incident began around 1:30 a.m. near Blanco Road and Jackson Keller Road. According to police, CHPD officers attempted a traffic stop but the driver instead sped off, turning onto Dresden Drive at a high-rate of speed and then rolling the vehicle over. Police said the vehicle came to a stop between some power lines and a nearby brick wall. The driver had an outstanding warrant and will also be charged with evading arrest, police said.

CASTLE HILLS, Texas – Castle Hills police say they had to use an electroshock weapon on a driver who led them on a high speed chase early Wednesday morning. Officers first noticed the suspect, who they say was driving recklessly, around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Blanco Road and Loop 410. The driver kept going instead, leading officers on a chase that reached speeds of 80 to 90 mph on neighborhood streets. The vehicle finally stopped when the suspect hit a car parked at the Sahara Suites apartments. They stopped him by zapping him with an electroshock weapon, then had to call paramedics to remove one of the prongs from his skin.

CASTLE HILLS, Texas – A man is in police custody after he led officers on a short vehicle chase in Castle Hills overnight, the Castle Hills Police Department said. The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. near Loop 410 and Vance Jackson Road on the city’s North Side. According to police, officers were attempting to pull the reckless driver over when the man instead sped off. Police said the driver reached speeds of 120 mph before finally he pulled over in a gym parking lot. The man was detained on suspicion of DWI and he had an open container in the vehicle, police said.

CASTLE HILLS, Texas – Two people are now behind bars in Bexar County following a traffic stop in Castle Hills, according to police. Officials said an officer conducted a traffic stop for a driver that was traveling on the wrong side of the roadway. Both were arrested for several charges and were taken to the Bexar County Jail.
