SAN ANTONIO – Three people have been arrested following a fatal shooting that stemmed from an argument late Tuesday night in Southeast Bexar County. Lane Devon Wootan, 23, Jennifer Wootan Blankenship, 46, and Williams Blankenship, 59, have each been charged with murder, according to booking records with the Bexar County Jail. Medical examiner identifies man shot during visit to SE Bexar County home
SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner has identified a man who was shot and killed while visiting a home in Southeast Bexar County as Josh Fowler, 24. They say they spoke with several other people there who told them Fowler was visiting at the time. SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County sheriff’s deputies have been questioning several people about a shooting that killed a man in Southeast Bexar County. Deputies say the 24-year-old man was visiting the home on Dubose Road when an argument broke out. They say things escalated, and at some point, the man was shot in his upper body. Deputies did not say who pulled the trigger. The shooting is under investigation, deputies said.
BCSO: Human remains found in SE Bexar County believed to be woman, several persons of interest connected to case
SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County sheriff’s deputies have identified 10 persons of interest in connection to the human remains that were found on the side of the road in Southeast Bexar County earlier this week. The sheriff’s office says the remains are believed to belong to a woman in her 30s or 40s. Homicide investigators and the street crimes unit executed a search warrant at the home late Friday and found blood evidence as well that was linked to the woman’s remains. W.W. White Road in a rural portion of far Southeast Bexar County, according to BCSO officials.In a live-streamed press conference on Thursday afternoon, Sheriff Javier Salazar said a county work crew cleaning up trash in the area found "what they believed to just be a bundle" while picking up trash bags along the roadway. "They stopped, saw that it appeared to be a human body wrapped in a tarp, and then they called for us," Salazar said. "At this point, it's too early to tell if it is indeed a homicide," he added. As of press time, BCSO has yet to issue further updates on the matter.

Game warden finds body believed to be man missing since July
Human remains were found Friday in far Southeast Bexar County near an area where a man missing since late July was last seen, officials said. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said they believe the remains likely belong to 38-year-old Curtis Perry. A game warden searching on foot for evidence of poachers discovered the remains, Salazar said, near the 9000 block of South Foster Road. “We’re cautiously optimistic that these will be his remains,” Salazar said. The Philadelphia man was in Houston visiting relatives and rented a car to meet people in San Antonio.

The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Redtop Hill in Southeast Bexar County. Police said a vehicle chase went on for roughly 15 minutes before finally ending at Redtop Hill and Skila Dive, not far from Interstate 37 and Mathis Road. Sandy Oaks police and the Bexar County Sheriffs Office are searching for a suspect after a vehicle chase and crash on Monday morning. Home in SE Bexar County deemed total loss after fire
SAN ANTONIO – A fire early Monday has destroyed a home in Southeast Bexar County, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said. The fire was reported just before 1 a.m. in the 4850 block of Hardy Road, not far from Mathis Road and Interstate 37. Fire officials said firefighters arrived to find the home engulfed in flames, and a car also caught fire. The house is considered a total loss. Authorities said it is not clear what started the fire.
Fire destroys 2 mobile homes in Southeast Bexar County
BEXAR COUNTY, Texas - A fire early Tuesday morning has destroyed two mobile homes in Southeast Bexar County. A neighbor called 911 around 3:15 a.m. and reported that there were flames coming from one of them. By the time firefighters arrived to the 6600 block of Dan Road off Highway 181, they found huge flames. They said it appears that the mobile home where it started was being used for storage. An investigator with the Bexar County Fire Marshals Office was called in to find the cause of the fire.
Man shot, killed in Southeast Bexar County
SAN ANTONIO - The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was fatally shot in Southeast Bexar County overnight. Deputies responded just after 1 a.m. to the home in the 10200 block of Blossom Lake after the victim's brother called for help. The victim's family told deputies he came to their home after being wounded. It's unclear where the shooting occurred. Deputies said the victim, a man in his early 20s, was pronounced dead by emergency crews.
Affidavit: Member of car theft ring caught breaking into vehicle
BEXAR COUNTY, Texas - A member of a local car theft crew was arrested after he was caught trying to break into a vehicle in Southeast Bexar County. According to an arrest warrant affidavit, on May 12 a Bexar County Sheriff's Office sergeant caught Hernandez breaking into a Ford F-250 truck in the 3100 block of Southeast Military Drive, not far from Goliad Road and Brooks City Base. The affidavit said Hernandez and another person were seen trying to get inside the vehicle and that both had several outstanding warrants relating to additional thefts. Hernandez admitted that he and his crew broke into numerous cars to steal property at Brooks City Base. He is charged with theft of a vehicle.
