BEXAR COUNTY – Bexar County sheriff’s deputies fired gunshots at a shooting suspect, injuring him, before he was arrested in far West Bexar County, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies were initially dispatched to the area for a report of a 38-year-old man shooting out a window of his house. Upon arrival, the man was found near his residence, either in the garage or front yard, armed with two handguns, one in each hand, according to Sheriff Salazar. Sheriff Salazar said the man then directed his vehicle toward a deputy, and that deputy fired gunshots at the man driving the car. No deputies were injured in the incident, but the suspect was injured in the arm and leg.

As a resurgence of the pandemic in the fall looked set to overwhelm Portuguese care homes, the government mobilized all the resources it could. SAN ANTONIO – Newly reelected Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar has vowed to uphold a tightened hiring process to “continue to hold people accountable” during his second term as the county’s top law enforcement officer. Salazar, a Democrat, defeated Republican challenger Gerry Rickhoff with 62% of the vote, or 454,529 total votes. He is the first Bexar County sheriff to be reelected since 2004. “It’s been that long since we’ve had some stability even through a second term,” he said. SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar will provide an update on the search for the remains of a missing man on the East Side. Crews on Wednesday continues searching for the remains of Curtis Perry, who was reported missing in July and is presumed dead. Salazar said Perry was probably killed at another location and then brought to a property on the 300 block of Holmgreen Road on the East Side. The crews have been searching through the property on Holmgreen Road since Tuesday afternoon. SAN ANTONIO – A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested after Bexar County deputies said he recorded a 3-year-old boy smoking marijuana inside a vehicle while at a family gathering. This is the third arrest made in connection with a viral video that shows the boy smoking marijuana that surfaced on social media earlier this week. SAN ANTONIO An off-duty corporal with the Bexar County Sheriffs Office was tased and arrested by his fellow deputies for an alleged assault, according to the BCSO. Deputies tried to place Young in custody, but a struggle ensued and a taser was deployed, officials said. Young was employed with the sheriffs office since March of 2016 and was assigned to the Detention Bureau, according to the BCSO. After Youngs arrest, Sheriff Salazar initiated termination proceedings due to a continuing pattern of misconduct.This suspects pattern of misconduct, which culminated in last nights arrest by BCSO deputies is extremely disturbing. Hes also charged with resisting arrest, another Class A misdemeanor with bond set at $1,000.
