Police asking for help identifying Cibolo porch pirate

CIBOLO, Texas – Police are asking for help identifying a man wanted in connection with a series of package thefts from porches in Cibolo. The alleged porch pirate is wanted by Cibolo Police Department for thefts that occurred on Sept. 29 in the 100 block of Hanging Moss and 200 block of North Willow Way. Police describe the man as “medium-set with multiple tattoos on arm/chest area” and add that he was a passenger in a gold-colored, older-model Honda Odyssey. Sabrina Brandonisio, the daughter of Sabino Brandonisio, 60, said the two were supposed to start their shift together, working as cooks at the Whataburger in Schertz on Aug. 12. 18-wheeler struck by train in Cibolo, no injuries reported, police say

CIBOLO, Texas The Cibolo Police Department is investigating the cause of 18-wheeler being hit by a train early Monday morning. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on railroad tracks at Country Lane and FM 78, not far from Haeckerville Road. According to police, the big rig was high centered on the railroad tracks when it was struck by the train. Authorities say to avoid the area as emergency crews work at the scene. Police did not say how long it will be until the area reopens.

Police ask for help identifying person who broke into Steele High School

CIBOLO, Texas – The Cibolo Police Department is looking for a person who broke into Steele High School Thursday for 4 1/2 hours. A Facebook page from CPD says a male broke into the school around 1 a.m. and was seen on campus until 5:30 a.m. The age and identity of the person, who had on a backpack, long-sleeved Under Armour shirt, black shorts and a cold-weather hat, is not currently known. Anyone with information about the identity of the person is asked to call Cibolo Police at 210-659-1999. Steele High School teacher accused of inappropriate contact with student

SAN ANTONIO – A 43-year-old teacher at Steele High School and Dobie Junior High School was arrested Tuesday on a charge of indecency with a child. Eric Paul Contreras is accused of inappropriate contact with a student, according to Officer Matt Schima, public information officer with the Cibolo Police Department. Steele High School special education teacher accused of inappropriate contact with student arrested, police sayDetails surrounding the case, including if the contact was made on-campus, remain unclear at this time. Contreras is the second teacher at Steele to be accused of inappropriate actions this month. Special education teacher Alfred Villarreal, 63, was arrested March 5 in a case involving inappropriate contact with a student, officials said.

Steele High School teacher accused of inappropriate contact with a studentA Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD teacher has been arrested and charged with indecency with a child sexual contact after surveillance footage caught him allegedly inappropriately touching a student, according to police. Cibolo police arrested 63-year-old Alfred Villarreal, a teacher at Steele High School, after an anonymous complaint was given to the department. "The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD is cooperating with the investigation and remains a vital partner in the safety of our students." CIBOLO, Texas – An Amtrak train slammed into an 18-wheeler Tuesday morning in Cibolo. According to a tweet from the Cibolo Police Department, the crash happened at FM 78 and Country Lane. No injuries were reported. Cibolo police are urging truck drivers to be aware of their route and to be careful when trying to go over railroad crossings.

Warrant: Arrested Cibolo police officer made pornographic videos of a child

CIBOLO, Texas – A Cibolo Police Department officer was arrested this week after investigators from multiple states helped secure evidence showing that he created pornographic videos involving a child, according to records released Friday to the KSAT 12 Defenders. Chris Ybarra, 37, faces two charges of possession of child pornography and one charge of obscene wholesale promotion with deviant sex acts. Two images of child pornography were found in that email account, the warrant states. The case was later transferred to the Texas Rangers since Ybarra was identified as a peace officer, records show. Ybarra confessed to viewing and saving child pornography on his cell phone and to recording the video in question, according to a felony complaint filed against him.
