Live Oak resident celebrates turning 102 with parade
LIVE OAK, Texas – Live Oak resident Ozelle Jordan turned 102 on Tuesday, and her birthday was celebrated with a parade. The residents and workers at Serenity Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care held a drive by parade led by the Live Oak Police Department. Jordan was born in 1918, the year the Spanish Flu broke out and graduated from Halandale High School in 1935. A Live Oak resident celebrated her 102nd birthday on Tuesday. Warren High School seniors mark National Decision Day with a parade
SAN ANTONIO – With horns honking and students cheering, a parade of vehicles snaked its way around the Warren High School campus Friday morning. Seniors were observing National Decision Day, a deadline for them to announce their college, university or military branch of choice. During the procession students paused to announce their choice to faculty members on hand to view the parade. “We don’t get prom, Senior Skip Day,” said Senior Marco Guzman. “This is a great thing to celebrate and this pandemic is causing us to be very creative.”

Family throws surprise drive-by birthday parade for 105-year-old loved one
SAN ANTONIO – Irene Wilson, who recently moved to San Antonio to be with family, turned 105 on Wednesday and was surprised with a drive-by birthday parade. Wilson's daughter said she was able to take her mother to visit parts of San Antonio, and Wilson's 98-year-old sister also visited before the pandemic began. Wilson has said her secret to a long life is filling it with people, and Wednesday's ceremony was her chance to get so many people on a special day. Watch the story in the video player above.
