ELMENDORF, Texas โ Elmendorf police are investigating an area where the body of a 17-year-old was discovered on Thursday. Police Chief Marco Pena identified the teen as Oscar Rangel. He said Oscarโs body was found near the intersection of South Second Avenue and East Ninth Street. She said her family, along with Oscarโs friends, searched the area. Oscarโs body was eventually found by one of the people was staying with, according to police.

ELMENDORF, Texas โ Two people were arrested Wednesday after a chase involving police in Elmendorf. Police said they tried to pull over a car that was speeding in the 8800 block of South Loop 1604, but the driver didnโt stop. Officers caught up with the car on New Sulphur Springs Road and arrested the driver and passenger. The suspects face several charges and were also wanted in Wilson and Guadalupe counties on outstanding warrants, police said. Convicted sex offender back in custody after exposing himself to 10-year-old girl, Elmendorf police say
A previously convicted sex offender who was sought by Elmendorf police was captured on Sunday after he allegedly exposed himself to a 10-year-old girl. Raymond Moreno, 55, was brought into custody on charges of indecency with a child and violating sex offender regulations. They also arrested the woman Moreno lived with, 52-year-old Diane Gamez, on suspicion of harboring a fugitive. Morenoโs bail was set at $80,000, Bexar County Jail records showed.
Elmendorf police looking for convicted sex offender who was found living with child
Elmendorf police are asking for the publicโs help finding a convicted sex offender who is wanted for failure to comply with his registration. While investigating a sexual assault of a child case, police discovered that Raymond Moreno, 55, is living with a potential child victim and her mother, according to Police Chief Marco Pena. The home is located in the 10500 block of U.S. Highway 181 South in San Antonio. Police have unsuccessfully attempted to locate Moreno multiple times, according to the news release. Anyone with information on Moreno is asked to contact police at 210-635-8710.

Officials ID man killed in deputy-involved shooting in Elmendorf
SAN ANTONIO โ The man killed by a Bexar County Sheriffโs deputy after he allegedly approached officers with a weapon has been identified. The Bexar County Medical Examinerโs Office identified Jesus Bonito Garza, 47, as the man killed March 9 at a home in the 1700 block of Blue Horizon in Elmendorf. Sheriff Javier Salazar said Elmendorf police were called to the home after a neighbor saw a man, presumably Garza, dragging a woman by her hair. ORIGINAL: The Bexar County Sheriffโs Office is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Elmendorf. When the Elmendorf officer arrived on the scene, he called for assistance and a Bexar County Sheriffโs deputy showed up soon after. Salazar said the man had a weapon in his hand, possibly a screwdriver, and approached the officer and deputy in a threatening manner. The man, who hasnโt been identified and is believed to be in his 40s, died at the scene.

Elmendorf police arrested a man after a 12-year-old girl recorded him exposing himself to her, according to an affidavit. Garry Gallardo Jr., 49, was arrested on suspicion of indecency child exposure, according to Bexar County Jail records. When police interviewed the girl, she told them Gallardo exposes himself to her every morning while she waits for the school bus in front of her home. โThereโs no telling what might have happened next if he didnโt get caught for this crime,โ Pena said.
Man accused of shooting at van, leading deputies on pursuit remains on the run; woman detained
BEXAR COUNTY, Texas โ Authorities are looking for a man they say led deputies and Elmendorf police on a chase in southeast Bexar County following a shooting. Investigators with the Wilson County Sheriff's Office said the shooting stemmed from a road-rage incident off FM 1353 between people in two vans. They said a person in one van fired several shots at the driver of the other van. Deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office and Elmendorf police located the van and pursued it along Loop 1604 and I-37 before crashing on Donop Road near Southton Road. Wilson County Sheriff's (Office) will (pursue charges) on the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
