SAN ANTONIO โ Texas Sen. John Cornyn announced Thursday that San Antonio has been selected as one of six finalist cities to host the U.S. Space Command headquarters. San Antonio leaders vying for U.S. Space Command headquartersIn August, Cornyn sent a letter to John W. Henderson, the assistant secretary of the U.S. Air Force for installations, to express his support for bringing the Space Command headquarters to Texas. Texans have already demonstrated outsized success in the military and have led the way in space exploration. JUST IN: The Air Force has selected six candidate locations to host the U.S. Space Command headquarters. They include: Kirtland AFB, N.M; Offutt AFB, Nebraska; Patrick AFB, Florida; Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado; Port San Antonio, Texas; and Redstone Army Airfield, Alabama.

San Antonio veteran left homeless after wifeโs death gets help from local program
SAN ANTONIO โ Living in Military City USA, we know about the sacrifice many veterans make, putting their lives on the line to defend our country. โWhich is kind of what led to me being here, because I lost her and lost everything,โ McCrory said. Severe financial troubles led McCrory to the Homeless Veterans Program on Yucca Street near Robeson Avenue. Funded by the VA through Crosspoint, McCrory occupies one of 35 beds reserved for veterans who are now homeless due to a wide range of issues.
