Man fatally run over by big rig truck, BCSO says
Bexar County deputies say a man was run over by his own big rig on Feb. 1, 2021. SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County deputies were dispatched to the West Side Monday morning after receiving reports of a man who was run over by a big rig. Deputies were called to the 12900 block of Highway 90 to respond to the fatal incident, the sheriff’s office confirmed. The man who was killed was a crew worker who was filling one of the tires with air when the truck started rolling, a sergeant on the scene confirmed. The man tried to back up, but he fell as the big rig ran him over.

BCSO: Man shot, injured by deputies after aiming fake gun toward them during chase
SAN ANTONIO – A 19-year-old man was shot and injured by deputies after leading them on a high-speed chase and threatening them with a fake gun, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. Sherifff Javier Salazar said the man pointed his fake but realistic-looking weapon toward deputies during the chase from inside his vehicle. He got out of the vehicle and continued to aim his fake weapon toward the deputies, according to Salazar. Man, woman hospitalized after southeast Bexar County shooting
BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Bexar County deputies say a man and woman were hospitalized after a shooting in the southeast area of the county. Deputies responded to the shooting in the 9600 block of Hildebrandt Road after getting reports of multiple shooting victims. They said they found a man and woman with gunshot wounds at the scene. It’s unclear who shot the couple or what led up to the shooting. KSAT will update this story when more information becomes available.

Hays County man leads deputies on chase through Wimberley, officials say
WIMBERLEY, Texas Hay County Sheriffs Office deputies attempted to stop a vehicle after a traffic violation on Tuesday, but they ended up on a chase through farm to market roads. Deputies tried to stop the vehicle on Old Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley. They were led on a chase through parts of Farm to Market 3237, Farm to Market 150, and Old Ranch Road 12. According to a statement by the Hays County Sheriffs Office, deputies were able to immobilize the suspects vehicle and ended the pursuit in the 18000 block of Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley. The sheriffs office said there were no injuries as a result of the discharge, and the case is under investigation.

Deputies investigating rooster fighting operation bust in southeast Bexar County
SAN ANTONIO Bexar County deputies are working the scene of a rooster fighting operation bust in the southeast part of the county. Deputies were first dispatched to the scene for a rooster fight. Upon arrival, deputies said several suspects fled to a nearby treeline. Officials found several pieces of rooster fighting paraphernalia as well, including trophies and other items, according to the BCSO. Crime scene investigators and animal control were also called to the scene to assist in the investigation.

Pickup runs red light in East Bexar County, leaving 1 driver in the hospital
Bexar County deputies are looking for a driver who fled on foot after running a red light and striking two other cars Friday morning. Two pickups were stopped next to each other at a red light on Highway 87 near FM 1516 in China Grove, deputies said. Police believe racing was cause of two vehicle roll over, search for two drivers continuesA silver Dodge Ram pickup did not stop, striking one pickup from behind and sideswiping another, according to deputies. The driver who caused the crash, a New Mexico man, fled on foot before deputies arrived. First responders took another driver with serious injuries to the hospital.

Lengthy car chase ends with arrest in Frio County
SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County deputies pursued a man for roughly 30 miles after he sped off from them, according to the sheriff’s office. On Thursday morning, a deputy spotted a car driving erratically and cutting off 18-wheeler trucks on I-35 South in Southwest Bexar County, officials said. As a deputy approached the car, the driver sped off, kicking off the pursuit. The deputies were assisted by a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter, Medina County sheriff’s deputies and Frio County sheriff’s deputies. The man eventually attempted to flee on foot inside the Frio County line, Bexar County deputies said.

Police, Crime Stoppers looking for gunman who fired 7 shots near Bexar County deputies
SAN ANTONIO San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers are looking for the person who fired several gunshots in the direction of Bexar County deputies. Deputies believe the shots came from a vehicle traveling near the intersection. Anyone with any knowledge of the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP. Tips can also be texted to CRIMES (274637) or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
