The student ignored the man, school officials said. Another driver saw what happened and checked on the student, and the man drove off. It has come to our attention that one of our employees has tested positive for COVID-19, Comalander said in the letter sent Monday. At the same time, a similar notification was sent to parents in the Somerset Independent School District. NEISD employee tests positive for COVID-19

SAN ANTONIO – A Johnson High School employee is infected with the novel coronavirus, according to Northeast Independent School District officials. On Wednesday, Principal Gary Comalander notified faculty and staff of the positive COVID-19 test. Comalander said the employee did not have any contact with students, but did visit the campus twice prior to testing positive for the virus. School district officials notified the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District and an investigation is underway to determine if any other employees may have been exposed to the virus. COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the new virus, stands for coronavirus disease 2019.

Ron Rittimann hired as Alamo Heights ISD Athletic Director, Head Football Coach

After serving 12 seasons as head football coach and athletic coordinator at Johnson High School, Ron Rittimann is leaving the Jaguars to become the new Athletic Director at Alamo Heights Independent School District and head football coach for the Mules. Rittimann takes over for retired head coach Mike Norment, who led the Alamo Heights football team for the past 24 seasons. Rittimann was the first head football coach in Johnson high school history, holding the position since the school opened in 2008. What San Antonio student told investigators after critically injuring jogger

SAN ANTONIO - An arrest affidavit obtained by KSAT.com revealed new details surrounding the arrest of a Johnson High School senior accused of striking a jogger with her car in July. Bexar County sheriff's deputies said Golobay struck a jogger July 1 when she lost control of her white Nissan sedan near TPC Parkway and Waterhole Lane. Golobay told deputies that she left her subdivision and was in the left lane behind a black Dodge Charger. The teen got into the right lane and accelerated, but the Charger also began to speed up, she told investigators. After unsuccessfully merging into the left lane, Golobay told investigators she swerved back into the right lane and lost control of her vehicle.
