Mikeโs cheesy chicken tortilla soup feeds entire family for less than $25
Mike Osterhage has been making his cheesy chicken tortilla soup for years. Add the corn and black beans, and continue to simmer for 10 minutes. Bring to a boil, then reduce to medium low; simmer for 5 minutes and stir occasionally. Add chicken to the pot and continue to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add heavy whipping cream, sour cream and Velveeta cheese to the soup and stir until the cheese melts.

SAN ANTONIO โ Itโs spring this morning as it is very warm and humid with some fog, but January will return starting later today. A cold front is heading in our direction and as it gets closer, showers and a few storms will develop this morning and early afternoon, KSAT12 Meteorologist Mike Osterhage said. The cold front will move through the Hill Country around lunch time, and then into San Antonio around 2 p.m. or so, Osterhage said. Temperatures are pleasant, but will stay cooler todayโฆ upper 60s east and low 70s west. Weโll start in the mid 50s tomorrow, then make it to the mid 70s with some sunshine. Thereโs a chance for record-breaking heat this weekend
SAN ANTONIO โ Get ready for a Summer weekend! High temperatures this week have been averaging about 5 degrees above normal, with temperatures right around 90 degrees, KSAT Meteorologist Mike Osterhage said. Thatโll be about 10 degrees above normal, but a few degrees below the record of 98 degrees, Osterhage said. On top of that, San Antonio has never seen 100 degrees in October, but that will also be within reach. SAN ANTONIO โ SA Youth is hosting its annual Chips N Salsa fundraising event, taking place online featuring KSAT12โฒs Mike Osterhage and his wife Bonnie Osterhage. Chips N Salsa is an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for San Antonioโs high-risk children and young adults on Friday, Oct. 2 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 pm. Horne said if complex storms can develop, it may move in our direction overnight. A few showers and storms will be scattered around San Antonio today, with high temperatures near 90 degrees. It will be cold tomorrow morning, and then sunny and warmer, Osterhage said. Tuesday will be unseasonably warm before a late night cold front arrives. (KSAT 12)Tuesday night, the cold front will arrive around sunset, switching winds around to the north at 15-25 mph. As temperatures fall into the 30s and 40s overnight, cold, light rain is possible. Overnight Tuesday and early Wednesday morning, cold, light rain is possible as temperatures dip into the 30s and 40s.
Thursdayโs Dense Fog Advisory canceled; sun expected later today
SAN ANTONIO โ UPDATE: The National Weather Service says the Dense Fog Advisory has been cancelled as visibility has improved across the area. SAN ANTONIO โ KSAT Meteorologist Mike Osterhage said we might as well make it a clean sweep with fog every morning this week. The fog this morning is pretty thick, plus thereโs some light rain. Showers will be off and on all day, with some heavy downpours and maybe a storm, Osterhage said. We'll still have a couple of showers the first part of the day tomorrow, then the cold front will clear things out. Itโll be much colder Sunday morning, and cooler next week with a few showers, Osterhage said.
