SAN ANTONIO – A man stole merchandise from the Macy’s store at North Star Mall, threatened an employee with a cutting instrument, then ran off -- and investigators are still working to identify and arrest him, authorities said Wednesday. The mall robbery took place at 4:15 p.m. Jan. 11 at 7400 San Pedro Ave., in San Antonio. Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case. To be eligible for a reward, tips must be submitted directly to Crime Stoppers.
Pluckers Wing Bar announces third San Antonio location on North Side

Restaurant in North Star Mall dinged for moldy celery, jalapeños
SAN ANTONIO – A restaurant inside North Star Mall was cited by health inspectors last month, after moldy and spoiled celery and jalapeños were discovered inside a walk-in cold storage unit. Bistro Thai, located at 7400 San Pedro Avenue, received a score of 83 and was ordered to go through a reinspection following the Oct. 19 probe. The bistro was also cited for storing raw animal foods above ready-to-eat foods, health records show. Ingram Park Mall Closes Amid Pandemic as Most Malls Stay Open
Ingram Park Mall, which shut its doors at 7 p.m. Wednesday, is the first of San Antonios shopping malls to announce it is closing temporarily to prevent the spread of coronavirus. In San Antonio, where the coronavirus pandemic has shuttered schools and businesses citywide and led to bans on public gathering, most shopping malls have remained open. Mall property management companies did not respond to our calls for information about whether or not they planned to close, or why they remain open. Store closings go beyond the shopping malls, however. The largest shopping mall in the nation, Mall of America in Minneapolis, is currently locked down, its myriad stores, food courts, and indoor roller coasters quiet.

SAN ANTONIO – A teenager has been arrested after an alleged fight inside North Star Mall led to the stabbings of two teens. Anthony Rodriguez, 18, was arrested after police questioned several witnesses to the Tuesday night incident, according to San Antonio police. Police seek suspects in clothing theft at North Star Mall
SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers say they are looking for the suspects who stole from a Macy's Department store in North Star Mall and then assaulted two employees. According to police, the three suspects stole clothes from the store and attempted to flee. Anyone with any knowledge of the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP (7867). Tips can also be texted to CRIMES (274637) or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
