According to data from globalpetrolprices.com, 46 countries has gas prices that are $6 a gallon or more, 26 have prices that are at least $7 a gallon while nine countries have gas prices that are $8 a gallon or more.

CAMARILLO, Calif. – The average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline rose 4 cents a gallon over the past two weeks to $2.22. Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey said Sunday that a rise in crude oil prices spurred the increase. The price at the pump is 43 cents less than it was a year ago. The highest average price in the nation is $3.35 a gallon in the San Francisco Bay Area. The average price of diesel rose 3 cents over the past two weeks to $2.52.
Average US gas price falls to under $2.25/gallon

Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey said Sunday prices may change a little in the coming days as hurricanes pummel the Gulf Coast, impacting oil production. Still, a decline in demand for gasoline because of the pandemic means there is plenty of petroleum available for motorists. Nationwide, the highest average price for regular-grade gas is in the San Francisco Bay Area at $3.36 per gallon. The average price of diesel in the survey taken Friday was $2.50 a gallon, down a penny from two weeks earlier.
Labor Day drivers seeing cheapest gas in 16 years
SAN ANTONIO – Gasoline posted at $1.55 gallon at the beginning of the Labor Day weekend is just one more sign the summer has been anything but typical. Drivers inclined to make an end-of-summer road trip are seeing the lowest gas prices in 16 years as the pandemic has blunted demand. “Nobody in Texas should pay anything that starts with a $2 as we are having the cheapest Labor Day weekend since 2004,” said Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst at GasBuddy. Gas prices in San Antonio are on the rise, AAA reports
SAN ANTONIO – Gas prices are climbing in the Lone Star State including here in San Antonio. The average price-per-gallon of gas in Texas as of July 16 is $1.92, while the national average is $2.20. The San Antonio average is $1.91, up 9 cents from one week ago, AAA reported. According to AAA data, Texas gas prices have risen 4 cents-per-gallon in the last week but the price is still 60 cents less per gallon compared to prices in July 2019. The record high for gas prices in Texas was $3.98 in July 2008 and the record high for San Antonio was $3.96 in the same month.

Kiss $2 gas goodbye for Valentine’s week
SAN ANTONIO – Drivers can kiss $2 gas goodbye this Valentine’s week as the price of unleaded continues to fall. Prices fell a nickel in the past week and 19 cents in the past month. Analysts say fears that the coronavirus will hurt China’s economy — and appetite for oil — have pushed crude prices lower. That means lower prices at the pump for folks topping off their tanks. At several gas stations on the Northeast Side of town, gas was posted at about $1.86 a gallon.
AAA report: Gas prices expected to fall under $2 per gallon next week

A study from AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch says motorists are paying less to fill up their gas tanks in the state, and as early as next week, prices may be even lower than $2 per gallon. Gas prices expected to drop into FebruaryOut of all the cities in Texas, drivers in Midland are paying the most for gas, at an average of $2.38 per gallon, while drivers in Sherman/Denison are paying the least for gas, at $1.96 per gallon, according to the study. Gas is expected to cost less than $2 a gallon at gas stations in every state in the South and Southeast, except in Florida, AAA reports.
