Police: Woman posing as FBI agent sought free fast food
ROCKMART, Ga. โ Police have jailed a woman in Georgia accused of pretending to be an FBI agent to score a free fast-food meal, saying she allegedly threatened to arrest restaurant workers if they didnโt serve her a complimentary bite. Kimberly Ragsdale, 47, of Dallas, was charged Thursday with impersonating a public officer following repeated attempts to get free meals at a Chick-Fil-A, according to a Rockmart Police arrest report obtained by news outlets. It added that the woman continued the farce as police arrived to arrest her in the restaurant parking lot Thursday, reportedly claiming to officers that she was an FBI agent and that her credentials were electronic. โYou will not hear a real officer demand a meal anywhere,โ Chief Randy Turner told news outlets. It was not immediately clear whether the woman had an attorney who could comment for her.
Chick-fil-A sauces to be sold in select retailers nationwide in 2021
Beginning next year, Chick-fil-A fans wonโt have to go to the restaurant to get some of their favorite sauces. The restaurant chain announced earlier this week that 16-ounce bottles of its signature Chick-fil-A sauce and Polynesian sauce will be available for purchase nationwide at select retailers. San Antonio residents can currently purchase 8-ounce bottles of the sauces while placing an order for curbside or delivery from the Chick-fil-A app at select restaurants. The sauces will be priced around $3.49 per bottle, and with every purchase, all royalties Chick-fil-A receives will be donated to the Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futuresโข Scholarship Initiative. Chick-fil-A is adding new menu items that are perfect for chocolate lovers
Chick-fil-A will add a new brownie and two new coffee drinks to the menu starting on Monday. The chicken chain said the new chocolate fudge brownie and a new blend of THRIVE Farmers hot coffee will remain on the menu year-round. A seasonal beverage, the mocha cream cold brew, will be offered for a limited time at participating restaurants. The brownie includes melted semi-sweet chocolate mixed with fudgy chunks, while the cold coffee includes cold brew, sweetened cream and chocolate syrup over ice. Leslie Neslage, director of menu and packaging at Chick-fil-A, said the items received โpositive responsesโ after they were tested in select markets last year.

Each individual restaurant will decide whether to offer the meal kits, but Chick-fil-A expects at least half of its locations to opt in. Most meal kit companies operate as subscription services. The Chick-fil-A meal kits can only be ordered individually for delivery or pickup โ Chick-fil-A hopes that people will pick up a dinner kit when they drive by for breakfast or lunch. Chick-fil-A will start selling bottles of its signature sauce
(CNN) โ Chick-fil-A is entering the grocery business with bottles of its signature and Polynesian sauces. Starting in April, the 16-ounce bottles will be sold in Florida at Publix, Target, Walmart and Winn-Dixie stores for around $3.49. Thrillist named Chick-fil-A's signature sauce, a blend of honey mustard and barbecue sauces, the second-best fast food sauce in the country. โChick-fil-A Sauce and Polynesian Sauce are our two most popular sauces, which is why these flavors are leading the way.โ For now, the pilot program is limited to Florida, but Chick-fil-A may one day roll the bottled sauces out nationally. In addition to selling the bottles in big box stores in Florida, some Florida locations of Chick-fil-A will also offer 8-ounce bottles of its signature, Polynesian, Barbeque, Honey Mustard and Garden Herb Ranch sauces with catering orders and for purchase staring this month.

McDonaldโs is testing out a fried chicken sandwich in two cities
McDonald's is finally entering the fried chicken sandwich wars. The chain is testing out a crispy chicken sandwich, made with a fried chicken filet topped with butter and crinkle-cut pickles on a potato roll. McDonald's already serves the McChicken and has tested out a number of different chicken sandwiches, but its offerings have failed to inspire the type of excitement surrounding other popular fried chicken sandwiches. Fried chicken sandwiches have been a bright spot for fast food chains, boosting sales as visits to restaurants stagnate. Popeyes capitalized on the taste for chicken sandwiches with its fried chicken sandwich, which sold out within about two weeks of its launch this summer.
Chick-fil-A will no longer donate to anti-LGBTQ organizations
Chick-fil-A is making major changes to its charitable foundation, ending donations to two organizations that have been criticized for being anti-LGBTQ. That list no longer includes the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). In 2018, the Chick-fil-A foundation donated $1.65 million to the FCA and $115,000 to The Salvation Army, the company revealed Monday. However, the Salvation Army says its services are available to all people, and the organization strongly refutes accusations that it is anti-LGBTQ. "In addition to refraining from financially supporting anti-LGBTQ organizations, Chick-fil-A still lacks policies to ensure safe workplaces for LGBTQ employees and should unequivocally speak out against the anti-LGBTQ reputation that their brand represents," said Drew Anderson, GLAAD's director of campaigns and rapid response.
Spurs fans can celebrate road wins with free items at Chick-fil-A
SAN ANTONIO โ Chick-fil-A and the Spurs are teaming up to extend fans' celebrations after road victories. The restaurant chain on Thursday announced the Spurs Road Win-You Win promotion, which will offer free items to those with Chick-fil-A app accounts. Customers can claim their free offer after they scan their app or place a mobile order in the app. Free items will be available "for a limited time" after a road win, according to a news release. Because the chain is closed on Sunday, it will offer free items from a Saturday win on the following Monday.
