Spurs Give is partnering with Fiesta San Antonio to host the fifth annual Fiesta de los Spurs Run, according to a news release.

The Fiesta 2026 “5 to 1” official poster selection will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the San Antonio Garden Center, 3310 N. New Braunfels.

The King William Fair will not take place at all in 2021 due to safety concerns over COVID-19, organizers announced on Tuesday. The announcement came a day after Fiesta San Antonio officials confirmed other Fiesta 2021 events are being postponed until June. ¡Viva Fiesta!”AdThe King William Fair typically consists of a parade, vendors and live music on the streets in the historic district. Fiesta San Antonio officials on Monday said the two-week party that was scheduled for April 15-25 would be postponed to June 17-27.

SAN ANTONIO – The Battle of Flowers and Fiesta Flambeau parades have been canceled in 2021 due to concerns over COVID-19, parade officials announced Monday. The cancellations come on the same day that Fiesta San Antonio officials announced that other Fiesta 2021 events are being postponed until June. You may request a refund of the ticket price to the Fiesta Flambeau® Parade online beginning Feb. 15. This year would have been the 73rd year that the Fiesta Flambeau Parade would have lighted up the streets of the Alamo city. Fiesta Flambeau Parade officials said they are looking forward to the 2022 parade, which is scheduled for April 9.

SAN ANTONIO – The COVID-19 pandemic is crashing San Antonio’s biggest party for the second year in a row. Fiesta San Antonio officials confirmed Monday that the event that was scheduled for April 15-25 would be postponed until June 17-27, 2021. The Fiesta Commission said the decision was made based on recommendations from Metro Health and City of San Antonio officials. “We are deeply appreciative of the Fiesta San Antonio Commission’s willingness to work with the city’s health professionals to ensure San Antonian’s safety,” Nirenberg said. SAN ANTONIO – More than 100 nonprofits are looking for a plan-B after Fiesta San Antonio 2020 was canceled after officials had postponed the event for November. POTEET, Texas – The Poteet Strawberry Festival has been postponed and organizers are rescheduling the popular event for Oct. 30-Nov. 1. The festival was scheduled for April 3-5, but with concerns about the coronavirus, directors and other key stakeholders decided it was best to postpone the festival. The festival is the latest in a series of popular San Antonio-area events to be affected due to the coronavirus. Fiesta San Antonio, which was scheduled for April 16-26, was postponed and South by Southwest in Austin was canceled. COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the new virus, stands for coronavirus disease 2019.

Parade association officials held a news conference to reassure the public that the Fiesta favorite will be held. “The Battle of Flowers is where Fiesta began 129 years ago, and we won’t be stopping now,” said Anna Laura Block, Battle of Flowers Association president. If the Battle of Flowers did not step up, we would not be serving our community,” she said. In addition, the Battle of Flowers Bands Festival, which is held at Alamo Stadium, will also be held.
