Six Flags announces Holiday in the Park drive-thru experience
SAN ANTONIO โ If youโre looking for a safe event to view holiday lights, then Six Flags Fiesta Texas may be a place for you and your family to visit. The company announced Wednesday that guests can enjoy the event that the whole family can enjoy in addition to its Holiday in The Park festivities. Six Flags Fiesta Texas President Jeffery Siebert, said the event allows families to enjoy holiday sights and sounds from the comfort and safety of their own cars. The Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience will take place on 10 select weekday evenings from Nov. 30 though Dec. 17, in addition to the Holiday in the Park operation schedule. The Drive-In at Fiesta Texas, hosted by Rooftop Cinema Club is located just outside the front gates of Six Flags Fiesta Texas and is showing holiday classics throughout the rest of the worldโs longest year. SAN ANTONIO โ Ghouls and goblins have been replaced with Christmas trees and "massive stacks of presentsโ at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Six Flags on Monday announced Fiesta Texas will still host Holiday in the Park this year despite a surge in COVID-19 cases across the U.S., but things may look a little different. Fiesta Texas will have no indoor shows this year, but the park will have outdoor holiday decor, millions of LED lights and socially distanced meets-and-greets with characters. Officials with the amusement park chain say the modified version of Holiday in the Park gives guests an โimmersive and thrilling holiday celebration in a safe, outdoor environment.โHoliday in the Park is one of several places in San Antonio to see holiday lights. Along with the lights, Fiesta Texas will have Christmas trees, giant ornaments, โmassive stacks of presentsโ and โlarger-than-life toys" for photo opportunities.

Metallica fans to be partially refunded after missing portion of drive-in concert at Fiesta Texas
SAN ANTONIO โ The omission of a large chunk of Metallicaโs drive-in concert was sad but true for the fans who made their way to Six Flags Fiesta Texas on Saturday night, but the band isnโt leaving them cheated. A spokesperson said fans will receive a $50 refund of their $115-per-vehicle admission. Encore Drive-In announced the concert, which was shot especially for the drive-in series in Northern California and edited for the show, on Aug. 10. Encore Drive-In has not yet released a statement to KSAT.com and has not said why the opening set and first three Metallica songs were missing. The San Antonio Current, which first reported the story, said fans missed about an hour total of the drive-in performances.

Drive-in at Fiesta Texas extends schedule, releases new movie lineup
SAN ANTONIO โ San Antonioโs newest drive-in movie venue, the Rooftop Cinema Club at Fiesta Texas, has extended its schedule through July 19. The drive-in, located just outside the front gates of Six Flags Fiesta Texas, shared the updated movie lineup via press release. The contactless, drive-in theater allows guests to bring food their own food or order concessions like popcorn, candy and soda from Rooftop Cinema or other on-site food truck partners. Tickets for the summer schedule can be purchased online starting at noon on June 25 at Rooftopcinemaclub.com. All guests will be expected to follow all local health and safety guidelines.
Rooftop Cinema Club to bring drive-in to San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO โ San Antonio will soon have a new drive-in movie venue. โThe Drive-In at Fiesta Texasโ from the Rooftop Cinema Club will open in San Antonio on June 18. The drive-in, which will be located just outside the front gates of Six Flags Fiesta Texas, will start selling tickets online June 10. It will be a contactless drive-in theater and guests will be able to bring food or can order concessions like popcorn, candy and soda from Rooftop Cinema or other on-site food truck partners. The first slate of movies will run from June 18 through June 28 with more films coming in July.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas to reopen on June 19
SAN ANTONIO โ Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the latest theme park to announce a reopening date. The theme park will gradually increase attendance and open to all guests on June 22. New reservation system put in place at Six Flags Theme parks to ensure proper social distancingโThe extensive new safety measures we are implementing allow us to return to the business of providing thrilling family memories in a safe and fun environment," Six Flags Fiesta Texas Park President Jeffrey Siebert said. This โnew normalโ will be different in some ways, but we believe these additional measures are appropriate in the current environment,โ Six Flags President and CEO Mike Spanos said.
