SAN ANTONIO – Tejano heroes of the Texas Revolution were honored on Feb. 27 with a range of events for Tejano Day at the Alamo. “Tejanos at the Alamo” is a new addition to the annual Battle of the Alamo Commemoration lineup. The Alamo featured in-person activities throughout the day on Saturday to demonstrate Tejano life in the 1830s. There was also a virtual event, “The Alamo Addresses: Tejanos of the Texas Revolution” at 10 a.m., which you can watch in the video player above. “It’s important for people to know that this is a bigger story,” Alamo curator Ernesto Rodriguez said.
Amor Eterno is a new craft cocktail bar concept opening in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio is getting a new craft cocktail bar concept in Southtown called Amor Eterno. The menu for Amor Eterno is inspired by “Tejano street fare,” according to a spokesperson. The vinyl figures, which retail for $11, have an estimated ship date of early next year.Unsurprisingly, pre-orders for the burgundy jumpsuit figurine quickly sold out on Amazon and Hot Topic, which carries an exclusive Diamond Collection version of the figure. SAN ANTONIO On Sunday, Intocable will be back in San Antonio for a live drive-in concert in the Freeman Coliseum parking lot. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, band members say they have been forced to try out new things. After seeing a band in Europe perform a live drive-in concert, singer Ricky Muoz threw the idea out to the other members of the band and their manager. SAN ANTONIO – It's been a tough year for San Antonio Tejano singer Ram Herrera. In May his mother died, in June he and his entire family got COVID-19, and last month his brother died of the virus. A little over a month and a half after his mother died, Herrera and several members of his family tested positive for COVID-19. The losses of both his brother and mother inspired Herrera to get back into the recording booth and record the popular Christian song "I Can Only Imagine." "I felt compelled to record it because I would imagine what my mom felt when she went to heaven when she died," Herrera said.

Get ready to cumbia: Kumbia All Starz to perform in SA
SAN ANTONIO - Get ready for a fun concert with A.B. Quintanilla III and the Kumbia All Starz next month. Quintailla, the brother of late Tejano singer Selena, originally created the group the Kumbia Kings in the late '90s and later left that group to start the Kumbia All Starz.
