These San Antonio-area stores were the luckiest for Texas Lottery payouts in 2020
SAN ANTONIO – The chance to win the $1.05 billion Mega Millions jackpot has passed, but lottery fans have recently struck gold at several San Antonio-area stores. The data analyzed and visualized by KSAT below includes stores in Bexar, Comal, Kendall, Bandera, Medina, Atascosa, Wilson and Guadalupe counties that sold winning Texas Lottery tickets worth $600 or more last year. Records showed that three $5 million scratch-off tickets were sold in the last eight months. In June 2020 alone, NYS Food Mart at 4927 Rigsby Ave. and Roadster #18 at 8630 W. U.S. Highway 90 each sold scratch-off tickets worth that amount. It appears the NYS Food Mart is among the luckier stores in San Antonio, too: the store sold 17 winning scratch-off tickets total last year.

EL PASO, Texas Theres roughly a month left for one lucky Powerball winner to claim their $1 million prize. A winning ticket for the Jan. 25 Powerball drawing will expire soon and the winner will forfeit the $1 million prize if it has not been claimed by July 23. The Texas Lottery Commission said Friday that a McCoy resident received the top prize in the Winning MIllions game. The ticket was purchased at the Kuntry Korner store located at 2725 Commerce St. in Campbellton, according to a news brief. In 2019, the convenience store sold 48 winning tickets over $599. The Potranco store sold 11 more tickets than the second luckiest store, the Mobil Mart at 9068 FM 78 in Converse. In December, a San Antonio resident claimed a $1 million prize from a scratch-off purchased at Walmart at 510 Kitty Hawk Road.
