The attempted robbery happened around 4:30 a.m. at a Chase Bank in the 12500 block of Northwest Military Highway, not far from Wurzbach Parkway on the city’s North Side. According to police, the men tried to break into an ATM, breaking the outer shell of the machine but were unable to get any of the cash. Police said some witnesses called in the robbery from a nearby Starbucks and that may have spooked the suspects, who fled the scene. Investigators say the men may have had a rope or chain attached to a truck and tried to yank the ATM off the front.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Three men conducting a photo shoot on a boat in a busy Florida river somehow went overboard, leaving the 24-foot vessel unmanned and out of control. The three men told deputies that they accidentally fell into the St. Lucie River along Florida's Atlantic coast on Saturday, leaving the boat unmanned. The boat then straightened out, hit a concrete dock, went airborne and hit a second dock before coming to a stop, the Martin County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post. One had a minor injury, the sheriff's office said. An investigation into the cause has been turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

SAN ANTONIO – Two men are wanted in connection to a robbery that occurred at a 7-Eleven convenience store last week. According to Crime Stoppers, two men walked into the store in the 6000 block of Interstate 35 South at 6 a.m. Aug. 20 and demanded belongings. They were able to steal from the store, its employees and customers before fleeing in a silver sedan. SAN ANTONIO – Two men in their 20s were ejected from their vehicle during a rollover crash on the city’s South Side early Monday morning, San Antonio police said. The crash occurred just after 5 a.m. on westbound Loop 410 between Moursund Road and Roosevelt Avenue, not far from Frank Tejeda Academy. According to police, the driver for an unknown reason lost control and the two men were thrown from the vehicle. Police said the Eagle helicopter flew over the crash to make sure there wasn’t anyone else injured. One of the men was taken to University Hospital and the other was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center.

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas The New Braunfels Police Department is searching for two men caught on camera robbing a Circle K.The two men, who were wearing hoodies and face coverings, robbed the store in the 500 block of State Highway 46 on July 28. The duo exited the store to a car, where there may have been a third suspect waiting for them behind the wheel. The vehicle was last seen turning onto FM 1101, police said. According to police, the two men entered brandishing a handgun and stole beer from the store. The men then fled in a pickup truck. Police did not give a description of the two men.

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department said two men were hospitalized following a shooting Tuesday at an apartment complex on Sherril Brook Road near Broadview Drive and Bandera Road. Police said the men have serious injuries but are expected to survive. The two men were sitting outside an apartment when they got into an altercation with two other men in the apartment’s courtyard, police said. Eventually, a gun was pulled out and the victims were shot, police said. Police said they are looking for the two suspects.
