NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas โ The 10-year anniversary of the disappearance of 18-month-old Joshua Davis Jr. is approaching and New Braunfels police are temporarily offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest or grand jury indictment of the person responsible. Police have determined that seven adults and three children, including Joshua, were inside the home the night Joshua disappeared. Initially, family members inside the home that night suggested that Joshua had wandered outside in the rural area near the house. โWe firmly believe that someone who was in the home the night of the disappearance knows what really happenedโ, New Braunfels Police Department spokesman David Ferguson said Tuesday. โWe have had to deal with repeated lies or misleading to detectives, sending our detectives off to investigate theories that family members knew to be untrue,โ Ferguson said.

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas โ A major accident involving a bus and several vehicles was reported on northbound Interstate 35 at Highway 46 in New Braunfels, the New Braunfels Police Department said Tuesday. The police department said the crash was near FM306 and involves several vehicles including a bus carrying more than 40 adult passengers. No injuries were reported on the bus, police said, but two people from other vehicles were transported to area hospitals. Meyer told Crawford he took too long to pull over, and Crawford responded that he pulled over when it was safe. Meyer also told Crawford he initially pulled him over for a โdirty license plate.โCrawford remained handcuffed on the ground until a female officer arrived and helped de-escalate the situation. Those charges have been dropped at the request of the police department, Camareno said. Comal County court records show Crawford only had one prior speeding offense before the traffic stop took place.

NEW BRAUNFELS โ A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV in New Braunfels on Sunday, according to the New Braunfels Police Department. The man killed was later identified as Gregory Casey of New Braunfels, according to police. Casey, who was wearing a helmet, crashed into an SUV driven by a 57-year-old woman, police said. 26-year-old San Antonio man killed in two-vehicle crash overnight, police say
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas A 26-year-old San Antonio man was killed in a two-vehicle crash overnight in New Braunfels, according to the New Braunfels Police Department. The crash happened at 10:40 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of North Business 35 in front of the Marketplace Shopping Center. The six people in the van were all taken to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital with varying degrees of non-life threatening injuries, police said. An 18-wheeler overturned on the Northbound I-35 frontage road, causing two lane closures between Walnut and Seguin Ave.No injuries were reported in relation to the overturned 18-wheeler police said. NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas โ A 40-year-old man has died after swimming in the Guadalupe River, according to the New Braunfels Police Department. After arriving on scene, the victim, Chad Aaron Maples, of Arlington, was seen struggling in the water upriver before he disappeared underwater, officials said. Bystanders found Maples and pulled him onto a rock in the middle of the river. Police officers went into the water and pulled him to shore before beginning life-saving measures. NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas โ A woman died after swimming in the Comal River Saturday, authorities said. The New Braunfels Police Department issued the following statement on Saturday evening: officers โworking the Comal River near the Tube Chute, were approached by friends of a 22-year old female who had gone under the water, resurfaced, and was having trouble breathing. The officers immediately contacted New Braunfels Fire and EMS; however, prior to the arrival of paramedics, the female became unconscious and unresponsive. The female was then transported by New Braunfels EMS to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels where she was pronounced deceased. She has since been identified as 22-year old Devon Walton of Houston.

The victim was identified by police as Gabrielle Barrera, who was found dead with a gunshot wound in the 600 block of Sumner Circle, police said. Police have taken into custody Gabrielleโs brother, 17-year-old Zachary Barrera, who was charged with first-degree felony murder and is in custody at Comal County Jail, police said. 3 arrested after gunfire erupts over traffic stop, deputies sayZachary Barreraโs bond is set at $250,000 and as of Sunday, he was still in custody. Police: Schertz man hit, killed by truck in New Braunfels
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas โ A man hit and killed while trying to cross the road Saturday in New Braunfels has been identified as a 19-year-old from Schertz, police said Sunday. Teniente Jr. was hit by a 2015 Ford F-150 driven by an 18-year-old San Antonio man, officers said. Teniente Jr. died at the scene of the crash. Witnesses told police that the victim was trying to cross the southbound lanes of IH 35 when he was hit by the truck.
