Revolution cycling studio relocates to Alamo Heights
Cardio freaks, the snow extended a sweet deal to try out a state-of-the-art indoor cycling studio in Alamo Heights for free. Revolution Cycling Studio extended its offering of free classes to all first time riders through March 31 to celebrate the grand opening of its new location. McCollum wins Harlandale softball tournament titleThe McCollum Cowboys rolled over their opponents in taking the title at the Harlandale ISD Softball Tournament, capped off by a 15-4 win over the Pleasanton Lady Eagles in the tournament championship game Saturday at Tejeda Sports Complex. During the three-day tournament, McCollum scored a staggering 64 runs against the five opponents they played, while allowing only 11 runs as they went undefeated in tournament play. UHS hosts Heights in 14-5A-II actionTomorrow night in the Honey Bowl, the Uvalde Coyotes will host the Alamo Heights Mules for District 14-5A Division II football competition. The Coyotes will be celebrating Uvalde Youth Football Night. Their season record is by no means an indication of the team that they have, said Uvalde High School head football coach R.T. Gonzales. Last Friday night at Alamo Heights, the Mules opened district play with a 58-0 victory over the San Antonio Kennedy Rockets. Owner of world-famous Toilet Seat Art Museum dies at 98
SAN ANTONIO - The owner and artist behind the world-famous Toilet Seat Art Museum in the Alamo Heights area died Tuesday evening. Family members said Barney Smith died at 98. Smith created more than 1,300 toilet seat lid covers. He was a retired master plumber and picked up toilet seat art as a hobby. He opened up his makeshift museum out of his garage in 1992.
