Cardio freaks, the snow extended a sweet deal to try out a state-of-the-art indoor cycling studio in Alamo Heights for free. Revolution Cycling Studio extended its offering of free classes to all first time riders through March 31 to celebrate the grand opening of its new location. The studio was initially set to open Feb. 15, but the snowstorm delayed those plans. It opened to the public on Monday, Feb. 22.

During the three-day tournament, McCollum scored a staggering 64 runs against the five opponents they played, while allowing only 11 runs as they went undefeated in tournament play. I feel super proud of the girls, especially since this is our own tournament as a district, said McCollum coach Alessia Gallegos. Quintero, the tournament MVP, said energy and team chemistry have helped McCollum get off to a good start. Stelzig ended the Alamo Heights threat by getting Janes to strike out swinging on a fastball for the third out.

Coyotes make district home debut
UHS hosts Heights in 14-5A-II actionTomorrow night in the Honey Bowl, the Uvalde Coyotes will host the Alamo Heights Mules for District 14-5A Division II football competition. The Coyotes will be celebrating Uvalde Youth Football Night. Their season record is by no means an indication of the team that they have, said Uvalde High School head football coach R.T. Gonzales. Last Friday night at Alamo Heights, the Mules opened district play with a 58-0 victory over the San Antonio Kennedy Rockets. The Mules built up a 42-0 lead in the first half and added 16 points in the third period.

SAN ANTONIO - The owner and artist behind the world-famous Toilet Seat Art Museum in the Alamo Heights area died Tuesday evening. Family members said Barney Smith died at 98. Smith created more than 1,300 toilet seat lid covers. He was a retired master plumber and picked up toilet seat art as a hobby. He opened up his makeshift museum out of his garage in 1992.
