BCSO: Armed man shot, injured by deputies during shooting in far West Bexar County
BEXAR COUNTY – Bexar County sheriff’s deputies fired gunshots at a shooting suspect, injuring him, before he was arrested in far West Bexar County, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies were initially dispatched to the area for a report of a 38-year-old man shooting out a window of his house. Upon arrival, the man was found near his residence, either in the garage or front yard, armed with two handguns, one in each hand, according to Sheriff Salazar. Sheriff Salazar said the man then directed his vehicle toward a deputy, and that deputy fired gunshots at the man driving the car. No deputies were injured in the incident, but the suspect was injured in the arm and leg.

Driver ejected from vehicle during rollover crash, deputies say
SAN ANTONIO – A man was taken to an area hospital after he was ejected from his vehicle during a rollover crash early Friday morning, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said. The crash happened around 2 a.m. in the 10900 block of Shaenfield Road, just outside Loop 1604. According to deputies, the man was at the intersection of Shaenfield Road and Cavern Hill when he rolled the vehicle over. Deputies said the man was ejected during the crash. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, Helotes Police Department, and EMS all answered the call.

Firefighters respond to fire at fireworks stand in West Bexar County
SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County firefighters responded to a fire at a fireworks stand in West Bexar County early Thursday morning. In a video sent to the KSAT newsroom, firefighters were seen battling a blaze around 6 a.m. near a Mr. W. stand near on S. Ellison just inside Loop 1604. The Bexar County Fire Department said the fire was put out around 7:45 a.m. No one was hurt by the fire. The fire department said they do not believe the cause to be suspicious in nature and that the damage is estimated at $55,000. The Bexar County Fire Marshals office is conducting an investigation.

Teens accused of robbing 17-year-old at gunpoint in west Bexar County arrested, BCSO says
BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – An 18-year-old man and 16-year-old girl are facing charges after they robbed another teen at gunpoint, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said. BCSO officials say Jared Mata and a 16-year-old girl met up with the 17-year-old victim at an abandoned house in west Bexar County on Tuesday. Mata pulled out a weapon during the meetup and demanded the victim’s car keys, wallet, and cellphone before taking off, officials said. The victim called the sheriff’s office after knocking on doors in the area. Sheriff’s deputies located Mata and the teenage girl and arrested them.

BCSO: Woman stabs boyfriend during altercation in West Bexar County home
SAN ANTONIO – A woman in her 40s is in custody after she stabbed her boyfriend during an argument inside a West Bexar County home, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. at a home in the 3400 block of Altius Pass, found just outside Loop 1604 near Highway 90. Deputies said a disagreement occurred between the man and woman and she stabbed him in the chest. The name of the woman in custody and the name of the victim have not been released. BCSO did not say what charges the woman now faces.

67-year-old man arrested after shooting outside home in far West Bexar County
BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A 67-year-old man has been arrested after he shot at a man outside a home in far West Bexar County, the Bexar County Sheriff’s office said. Deputies were called just before 7:30 a.m. Thursday to the 12300 block of Carleson Valley, not far from Highway 90 after receiving reports of someone injured. Johnny Garcia, a BCSO spokesperson, said a man was standing in his front yard when the suspect came up to him with a handgun and fired at him from close range. The man ran to his home around the corner, where deputies caught up with him, Garcia said. The man attempted to get inside, but a deputy used a stun gun to detain him, BCSO said.
