The Burton Ball swings back into town
Then take this quiz and head to the Tim Burton Ball this weekend in San Antonio. If you haven't and don't recognize that quote you can still have a great time at the Tim Burton Ball! It is the longest running Tim Burton themed event in South Texas. The Burton Ball begins at 6 p.m. at The Rock Box and will be featuring spooky dance music, creepy dcor, film projections, food, live Burton themed art, vendors, themed drinks and a costume contest with over $500 in cash and prizes. Torchy's Tacos to open third restaurant in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO - Torchy's Tacos is bringing its famous green chile queso and craft tacos to the Sonterra area. The taco chain will open its third restaurant in San Antonio on Oct. 16 at the former Palenque Grill restaurant at 18210 Sonterra Place, which is on the access road of Loop 1604 West between Stone Oak Parkway and Sonterra Place. The event, which will feature free tacos, green chile queso, beverages and giveaways, is open to the public. Torchy's currently has restaurants in San Antonio at Lincoln Heights and at The Rim and plans to open a location at the Medical Center in the summer of 2020. The opening at Sonterra Place marks the taco chain's 57th location in Texas.

After an extensive voting process, San Antonio's Culinaria compiled a list of the best places to get barbecue, tacos, and margaritas in the city. "For the past 19 years, Culinaria has been promoting locally sourced food and wine experiences in the San Antonio region," according to the organization's website. David Elder gets exclusive look at Chris Madrid's, set to reopen after fire
SAN ANTONIO - Chris Madrid's is nearly ready to serve you their iconic burgers again. SA Live's David Elder got an exclusive look at one of the most famous burger spots in San Antonio, which is set to reopen after a fire shut it down on October 15, 2017. Elder was also the first media member allowed in the restaurant's kitchen since it was first opened 42 years ago. Elder Eats: Wagyu ribeye steak dinner for two
SAN ANTONIO - David Elder shares his recipe for a steak dinner for two that you can make at home. Add ground black pepper and table salt to season the water. Liberally season every side of the two ribeye steaks with kosher salt and course black pepper. Add the broccolini and baby rainbow carrots to the skillet with the rendered steak fat and lower the cooking temp to medium-low heat. Add the veggies, potatoes and steaks to your nicest place setting and pour your preferred red wine.
