SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for clues and a suspect after a man was found shot on the city’s West Side late Monday night. According to police, officers found the victim after he fled from a wrecked a car near Highway 90. Officers say it may have happened during a possible road road incident, but that the vehicle had no bullet holes. SAPD said they caught up with the man in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex. The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS all answered the call.
Homeland Security investigating after 10 people jump out of SUV during traffic stop, BCSO says
SAN ANTONIO – Officials are investigating a possible human trafficking case after 10 people jumped out of an SUV during a traffic stop late Wednesday. According to BCSO, a deputy in a traffic unit attempted to stop the SUV for speeding. Ten people, including the driver, jumped out of the SUV and ran off, deputies said. Three people were detained, but the others were not found by BCSO, which deployed aerial assistance. Homeland Security Investigations is now handling the investigation, according to BCSO.

The vehicle that Lopez had hit on I-35 had followed her when she got on Highway 90, according to officials. AdSoon after, police received a report that a woman had been hit by a vehicle on Highway 90 and General Hudnell. Police said the driver was not charged, and Highway 90 westbound was shut down for a few hours to process the scene.
Vacant home on South Side deemed a total loss after fire, fire officials say
SAN ANTONIO – A vacant home on the South Side is considered a total loss following a house fire early Monday morning, the San Antonio Fire Department said. The fire was called in around 2:45 a.m. at a home in the 200 block of West Lubbock Street, not far from Interstate 10 and Highway 90. Fire officials said they arrived to find flames coming from the vacant home. Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly and without incident. Arson investigators are now working to determine the exact cause of the fire.
Man shot by Bexar County deputies after highway chase has died
SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said a man who led law enforcement officers on a chase in Atascosa and Bexar counties Tuesday morning before he was shot near an elementary school has been declared dead at a local hospital. Salazar said Santos has been declared dead but is on life support while his organs are being preserved for potential donation. But Santos suddenly got back in it and drove off and a chase ensued, Atascosa County Sheriff David Soward said on Tuesday. As the pickup approached Interstate 37 and Highway 97, the driver shot at officers from the vehicle, Soward said. Moments later, the pickup truck went through some spikes that BCSO deputies had planted near Highway 181 and I-37 in hopes of disabling the vehicle.
Man critically wounded after chase ends in shooting on city’s Southwest Side
SAN ANTONIO – A 46-year-old man led law enforcement officers on a chase in Atascosa and Bexar counties Tuesday morning before he was shot near an elementary school, officials said. The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, said Deputy Johnny Garcia, a Bexar County Sheriff’s Office spokesman. As the pickup approached Interstate 37 and Highway 97, the driver shot at officers, Soward said. None of the law enforcement officers were injured. Allen will remain under lockdown for several more hours as law enforcement process the scene.

SAN ANTONIO – A 19-year-old is dead and another teenager is wounded following an accidental shooting on the city’s West Side. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office said Jose Ortega was killed early Wednesday. Officers were called around 2:15 a.m. to the 200 block of Remolino Street, not far from Cupples Road and Highway 90 after receiving reports of a shooting. The two victims were taken by EMS to Brooke Army Medical Center, where Ortega later died. The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all answered the call.

Man, 50, hospitalized in motorcycle crash near Highway 90, police say
SAN ANTONIO – A 50-year-old man was taken to an area hospital following a motorcycle crash on the city’s West Side late Sunday night, San Antonio police said. The crash occurred around 11 p.m. on General Hudnell Drive near Highway 90. According to police, officers arrived to find the man injured and unresponsive in a grassy area next to a wrecked motorcycle. The motorcyclist was taken by EMS to University Hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.

Deputies were called around midnight to Highway 90 near Montgomery Road after receiving word of an accident. Deputies said when they arrived, a vehicle fled the scene and drove nearly to Medina County before finally turning around and driving the wrong-way on the highway. The BCSO said the car then collided head-on with a sedan, causing it to rollover. The sheriff’s office did not say what, if any charges the wrong-way driver is now facing.

67-year-old man arrested after shooting outside home in far West Bexar County
BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A 67-year-old man has been arrested after he shot at a man outside a home in far West Bexar County, the Bexar County Sheriff’s office said. Deputies were called just before 7:30 a.m. Thursday to the 12300 block of Carleson Valley, not far from Highway 90 after receiving reports of someone injured. Johnny Garcia, a BCSO spokesperson, said a man was standing in his front yard when the suspect came up to him with a handgun and fired at him from close range. The man ran to his home around the corner, where deputies caught up with him, Garcia said. The man attempted to get inside, but a deputy used a stun gun to detain him, BCSO said.

BCSO: 1 dead in fiery wrong-way crash on SB Loop 1604 at Highway 90
SAN ANTONIO – One person is dead following a wrong-way vehicle crash on southbound Loop 1604 at Highway 90 early Monday morning, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said. Johnny Garcia, a BCSO spokesperson, said the vehicle was traveling the wrong way around 6 a.m. on Loop 1604 and crashed head-on into a dump truck. A passenger and driver in the dump truck were not injured, despite the damage to the front of the truck. The BCSO did not say why the driver was going the wrong way. Body found burning near Highway 90 in early August identified
SAN ANTONIO – A body found burning in west Bexar County earlier this month has been identified. The victim was identified as Michael Delgado, 33, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said at a briefing Tuesday. Delgado’s burning body was found Aug. 9 on the access road of 10300 Highway 90 West. ‘Gruesome crime scene’: Investigation underway after body found burning near Highway 90
BEXAR COUNTY – A body was found burning on the side of the road in West Bexar County late Sunday night, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. This happened just before midnight on the access road of Highway 90 eastbound, just inside Loop 1604. Sheriff Javier Salazar said investigators believe the man, who is in his 30s or 40s, was already dead before his body was driven to the crime scene and lit on fire. “It is a very gruesome crime scene,” Salazar said. That area of the highway will be closed off for several hours on Monday, Salazar said, as investigators comb the crime scene for evidence.
19-year-old driving on Highway 90 shot in arm, police say
SAN ANTONIO A 19-year-old man driving on Highway 90 was shot in the arm late Sunday night, San Antonio police said. Officers were called just after 10 p.m. to the 200 block of Moraima Street, not far from South General McMullen Drive and Castroville Road after receiving word of someone shot. According to police, the man was driving on Highway 90 near Loop 410 when another vehicle pulled alongside his car and fired. He managed to drive to Moraima Street where he called for help, police said. Both the San Antonio Police Department and EMS answered the call.

The fire occurred just before 1 a.m. at a home in the 12350 block of Kirshner Way, not far from Montgomery Road and Highway 90. According to the Bexar County Fire Department, firefighters arrived to find both the garage and a vehicle on fire. Ruben Alejandro Cisneros, 24, died in the crash around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1400 block of Highway 90 W, according to police. Motorcyclist dead after crashing into guardrail, police say
SAN ANTONIO - A local man is dead after he crashed his motorcycle into a guardrail while exiting Highway 90 early Friday morning, San Antonio police said. The crash occurred just before 2 a.m. on Highway 90 near Interstate 35. SAN ANTONIO - A person was rushed to a hospital in serious condition after a multi-vehicle crash Friday on Highway 90. The crash happened around 5:17 p.m. on the westbound lanes of Highway 90 near the Lackland exit. SKY 12 footage shows at least three vehicles were involved in the major crash that snarled rush-hour traffic. It took crews nearly an hour to clean up and take the wrecked cars out of the area. Joe Arrington, a spokesperson with the San Antonio Fire Department, said at least one person was rushed in priority two status to the hospital.
