Sheriff’s deputies are searching for the suspect in a fatal stabbing that occurred Friday night in Edinburg. “Eddie” Guerra said via Twitter on Friday that deputies responded to the 6300 block of Allegiant Street at about 9:47 p.m. in rural Edinburg in reference to the stabbing. Authorities found an unresponsive man with a wound to his chest at the scene. Guerra said that man, who authorities have not identified, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Witnesses told deputies that the man who died had been involved in an altercation with another man when he was stabbed, the department said on Facebook.myrgv.com

The Bexar County District Attorney’s Office said Friday that Richard Luna has been indicted for murder in the death of Isaac Cantu. The indictment alleges that Luna, “...intentionally and knowingly caused the death of Isaac Cantu by cutting and stabbing Cantu with a deadly weapon (knife).”The incident happened on Nov. 21, 2020, in the 2900 block of West Salinas. SAN ANTONIO – A man in his 30s was stabbed in the chest in the parking lot of a Southwest Side truck stop early Monday morning, San Antonio police said. The stabbing happened around 6:30 a.m. at a Love’s truck stop near Interstate 35 and Fischer Road. According to police, the man was in the parking lot with a woman when the suspect attacked him, stabbing him once in the chest. They spoke with several witnesses who told them the two men, one of whom lives at the apartment complex, had gotten into a disagreement. Police say at some point, the man who was visiting pulled out a knife and cut the resident on his shoulder. The man who lives there then pulled out his own knives and struck back, stabbing the visitor multiple times.

They were not able to say yet whether the 42-year-old man, accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend’s new love interest, is a suspect or victim in the case. Officers responding to a call around 3:30 a.m. found the man who was stabbed at a home in the 400 block of Hoover Avenue. They said he had shown up there along with his girlfriend and two other men to confront the woman’s ex-boyfriend.
